Little BLUE Radios
Q We bought 2 of the UV blue radios on Ebay and we have all of your wiring in the car. The car radio keeps jumping channels. We run a small quarter mile track and the radios seem to do ok but they wont stay on channel, any suggestion.
A We have always suggested not to use any radio in a racecar that has any buttons on the front. The rough ride they take seems to always cause one or more of the buttons to be pushed while in the radio box even the radios that have a lock button.
X16 SCANCEIVER
Q Looking at your harness jumper with the scanner jumper attached. What happens if my spotter talks at the same time the track talks?
A You will still hear them both
Q We race 2 tracks and one track uses the 454 freq and the other uses the 456 freq. Can I put in both numbers like on ch one and ch two?
A Yes you can. You will need the program kit or if you have not bought yet just tell us what freqs to put in at time of purchase.
Q Our class does not allow radios but does make us use a raceceiver or the X16. I want to put a spotter in the stands and be able to also listen to him. can I?
A Easy put the track on channel one and your spotter on channel 16. check scan on ch one in the program then monitor ch 16. While you are on 16 the radio will also scan and broadcast ch 16.
CAR HARNESS AND PTT
Q I see on your site and on some of the parts that i just bought they are labeled PRO SERIES whats the difference? I do see they cost more
Starting 2020 most items that have the PRO label or sold as the PRO SERIES is of the highest quality and has been either designed by us, assembled by us or built by us and yes they do cost a little more.
DUAL CARBON HEADSET
Q Im a flagman at our local dirt track. I need a headset with 2 radios like this one but I need the left radio to talk only into the left earcup and the right one in the right cup. The one I Bought on Ebay both radios talk to both sides. It will drive you crazy.
A Ours is left radio talks to left earcup, right radio talks to right earcup.
GT X16 ALL IN ONE SHORT TRACK KIT PROGRAMMING
Q Killer system we love it. I am trying to add some channels to scan on the X16 but I cant get the program to load in the laptop, any help please
A sorry I guess you missed the instructions, 1st line says use on desktop. 95% of all laptops can not load a radio program like most radios use.
RRD . If your only option is a lap top. Goggle -Baofeng Bf480 programming software- and you will find many programs that may download on your laptop.
NEWS ON PROGRAM. Starting July 2020 all program discs will be able to be loaded on 99 percent of most laptops. NO THAT 99.99 EBAY LAPTOP WILL NOT WORK.
New simple program for all GT-1, GT-1U, Fanscan, X16, HYT and RYT radios.
PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS
Q I have 2 of your digital radios and having a problem getting them programmed. 1st time we did it all went good now I cant get them to do anything.
A The original programs are installed using a desktop and Windows 10. If it worked the 1st time and you saved the program there is no reason it should not work again. Make sure the battery has at least a 10% charge. Change ports until you find one it likes.
FOLLOW UP FROM RRD---- We later found out writer was the 2nd owner of the radios. 1st owner send the program to him by email and he is trying to load it on a 5 year old laptop. This is almost a guaranteed 100% fail rate. We sent him a program disc and all works good now on his friends desktop.
HELMET HARNESS MOUNTING

Q What the hell is the deal? I buy a Nascar helmet mic and wire. No place in the ad does it say I have to mount it in my helmet. U need to tell people that the mic thing has to be installed in the helmet.
A We are sorry for the problem. We originally had it designed so that when you open the box the helmet kit would fly out of the box and float over to your helmet and install its self but we had technical problems on the fly out, float over and install its self. We are working on fixing that problem.
RRD Note We really got this email. Ok if you have never done this before we understand. We do not have a video on this because of all the different helmet types but if you Google - installing a racing helmet kit in a helmet - you will find a few videos that may match the helmet you are installing it in. Sorry if we hurt anybody’s feeling but this one is priceless
RRD Note We later found out that he bought a motorcycle helmet kit for 9.99 on Ebay and not from us.
JUMPER WITH SCANNER JACK
Q I have a Nascar harness with Mag One radios that I got from you so will this work with a Raceceiver
A NO the jumper only works with IMSA car harness
. We are working on a Nascar Harness that will work with the X16 or Raceceiver using our radio jumper with the scanner jack. Coming soon
Q I have a Nitro scanner so will it works with this?
A Yes as long as you are using Imsa wiring
Q I bought the all in one kit with Motorola radios and the X16 scanner, only one radio box comes with the kit so where do I mount the X16
A Using the belt clip on the X16 just clip it on the side of the radio box. It will work fine.
08-01-2020 update. All in One kits now come with 2 Boxes.
MOTOROLA CP200D Kit
Q I bought the Motorola CP200D Digital kit, works great but I need a extra crew member kit. I don't have a program kit so I need the channels to match the kit I bought. How do we do this?
A All CP200D radios that we sell come with a standard 16 channel program so you will get a radio that has the same channels and freqs. Plus we keep your freqs and channels on file so we can match those with other kits like the GT or Mag One add a crew kits.
Motorola owns the programming so if freq changes are needed contact any local Motorola dealer
